About Los Angeles Ballet Academy

Los Angeles Ballet Academy was established in 1992 as Theatrics Dance Academy. In September of 2004 the school relocated to the current 6500 square foot facility and was renamed the Los Angeles Ballet Academy. Los Angeles Ballet Academy offers some of the finest dance instruction available in the San Fernando Valley. The non-profit sister organization includes the Los Angeles Youth Ballet Theater (a classical and contemporary focused ballet ensemble) and Theatrics Dance Company ( a Jazz, Contemporary and Musical Theater focused group). Andrea Paris, the studio's owner and director, danced professionally with the Royal New Zealand Ballet as well as in Broadway shows an in Television and Film and holds the British Ballet Organization's Solo Seal Award and the Royal Academy of Dance teacher's certificate. They hold credentials in Checcetti and the Royal Academy and have graduated from the world's most prestigious professional pedagogy schools. Their repertoire includes professional experience in all fields of dance.

Los Angeles Ballet Academy has the training method that can take a child from preschool dance to the professional level. Our teachers have specialized knowledge in teaching all levels and are able to follow through with a dancers training from the first lesson to college applications and professional dance opportunities. We believe the discipline of dance is valuable to all young people, the comradery and relationships that grow between the teachers and the young dancers creates memories and friendships that they will cherish forever.

Los Angeles Ballet Academy students have been awarded scholarships to dance related programs such as The Julliard School, the Royal Ballet School, Pointe Park College, American Ballet Theatre, American Academy of Ballet, Idyllwild Arts, Walnut Hill and The Harid Conservatory.
