Tiny Team is a NEW ensemble for 2016/2017 comprised of young dancers ages 6-9 who show ability focus and dedication. Junior Team is for dancers 8 and up. These Team members have a minimum class requirement and have an additional rehearsal 1-2 times per week. The participate in the fall Ballet Production, learn 1-3 new dance numbers for performances during the year such as, community events, special concert appearances and competitions. Auditions for Tiny Team and Junior Team are held in June.

Team Theatrics is a performance ensemble comprised of young dancers ages 10 and up who have shown ability, focus and dedication in their dancing. These children learn to memorize quickly, be supportive of others and work as a group. This group will work on material that encompasses Ballet, Musical theater, Jazz and Contemporary dance styles. Team Theatrics performs in our fall Ballet Production, winter Momentum Concert, community events and competitions. Auditions for Team Theatrics are held in June.

Theatrics Dance Company II is a pre professional student ensemble geared toward the Jazz, Tap and Contemporary dancer. This is non-profit performance group whose goal is to develop and support young talent in the San Fernando Valley. TDC II is comprised of Intermediate level dancers ages 12-16. TDC & TDC II host a fall master class series (see the laba calendar for more info) with some of LA's finest Jazz and contemporary guest teachers and choreographers which is open to members and non members. Theatrics Dance Company along with its sister company the Los Angeles Youth Ballet produces a story ballet in the fall which included 2-4 schools performances for children in the community as well as 4 public performances. Theatrics Dance Company performers also produce a mixed bill Momentum program in the winter and present prominent professional dancers from the dance community alongside the Pre-Professional students at Los Angeles Ballet Academy. TDC II has a minimum class requirement and will also participate in, community events, conventions and competitions and our student choreography showcase. Auditions for TDC & TDC II are held in June.

Students in this group are Intermediate level dancers between the ages of 12-16. YBT II is a concert group whose goal is to develop and support young talent in the San Fernando Valley, as well as bring classical ballet to the community. The Los Angeles Youth Ballet along with its sister company Theatrics Dance Company, produces a story ballet in the fall, which along with public performances brings 2-4 performances to school children in the community. The mixed bill Momentum program in the winter presents many prominent professional dancers from the LA dance community alongside the Pre-Professional student company members. This offers a diverse and sophisticated evening of dance. YBT II also performs at special events, participates in the Youth America Grand Prix, gala performances and a Student Choreography workshop. The Youth Ballet Theater hosts master classes for members and non members with guest teachers throughout the year. The Youth Ballet works with resident and guest choreographers. They raise money for a special scholarship which provides financial assistance to young talented dancers in the Los Angeles area to further their training. Auditions for The Los Angeles Youth Ballet Theater are held in June.
