Jose Carayol studied at the world renowned Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza de Carmen Roche on a National Scholarship, graduating with Distinction. He performed on the national and international tours of the Ballet Carmen Roche and Ballet Victor Ullate as an apprentice, and later performed as soloist with Ballet Concierto Iñaki Urlezaga and SemperOper Ballet. His repertoire includes Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, Carmen, Paquita, Coppelia, and Cinderella. As a freelance artist, Carayol performed at the Royal Opera House in London and was a soloist on the Elemental South American Tour. Inspired by master teachers such as Marina Antonova (Bolshoi); Guy Albouy (Opera de Paris); Jason Beechey (Palucca Hochschule für Tanz); Maria Torija (School of American Ballet); Christopher Wheeldon (Royal Ballet); and Raymond Lukens, Franco de Vita and Angel Corella (ABT); Carayol decided to transfer his knowledge to young aspiring dancers. He completed all the Royal Academy of Dancing major examinations with Distinction, and became an ABT® Certified Teacher, studying the theory of dancing and teaching, Anatomy, Nutrition, and Psychology for dancers. He was selected by American Ballet Theatre for their Project Plié training initiative. Some of his students have placed in the "Top 3" at the Youth America Grand Prix and been finalists at the Music Center Spotlight awards.
